Friday Reads and a rainy weekend...

It's going to be a rainy weekend -- perfect for reading -- so I'm very excited to get my read on. As usual, I'm juggling a handful of books included Miss Me When I'm Gone (thriller) and House of Shadows (fantasy). I'm still (slowly) chugging along with Telegraph Avenue and finishing up Mistress of Mourning (which I'm really digging) and The Magician's Assistant (which I'm not).

What are you reading this weekend?

  1. I was not thrilled with the ending of Telegraph Avenue, to be honest. I will be interested to see what everyone else in the readalong thinks.
I did just finish Angelmaker very late last night/early this morning and thought it was awesome. Now I am moving on to The Chaperone. A lot of people liked that one, so I have high hopes.
    Happy weekend reading!

    1. Everyone I know who's read The Chaperone has loved it -- hope you love it too. I want to read it soon -- in early Aug if all goes as planned! Am definitely not loving Telegraph Ave's wrap up -- this is a big fail for me, unfortunately.

  2. I am halfway thru with Shine Shine Shine... maybe a little more than half. It's really good. I am about 25 pages into Gone Girl. I have to also start two books for tours (So L.A. and 12-21).

Happy reading!! No rain here and this weekend we will be celebrating the boy's 14th bday so we will be out and about.

  4. I will be starting Level 2, which I am rather excited about!! I have been looking forward to it for a few weeks. In audio, I will be trying to finish up Wolf Hall, and then get totally ensconced in Shadow of Night. Lots of great books are going to be read this weekend!
