Friday Reads and it's my anniversary...

Last week was my second blogiversary! I began my blog in January of 2010 (but back dated items to make it seem meatier) but I can't believe it's been two years already! I swear, I feel like I just started blogging. Thanks to all of you for visiting and commenting and making this such a lovely experience!

I'm back from my long holiday in California and I'm so missing my brother and his family. And that glorious, glorious sunshine. Le sigh.  Boston isn't making it any easier, being all icy and rainy and generally gross.

This weekend, I'm reading From the Memoirs of a Non-Enemy Combatant by Alex Gilvarry.  It's amazing so far -- fun, funny, biting, breezy and meaty.  I'm super excited to snuggle in and read -- that's the only perk of this yucky weather!  What are you reading this weekend?

  1. Happy Blogiversary (Blogoversary? I don't know, I hate that word in all its forms...)!! My first one is next week, and I'm definitely inappropriately excited about it since, you know, no one's going to give me presents! But still. Proud :).

Oh yeah, and my friday read is The Taming of the Shrew. Because I'm cool like that...

  2. Congrats on 2 years of blogging!

It's so hard to return from someplace warm back to Boston and be like "Right, the slush..."

I'm reading Twelfth Night this weekend. And hopefully I'll finish it.

  3. Happy Blogoversary! I am so glad to have found your site and to get the chance to read all your wonderful opinions and offerings!

I am in the middle of a whole lot of books right now, but the one I am going to be focusing on for the weekend is Graveminder, with a little Middlemarch thrown in for good measure!

  6. @Laura: I know, it's a stupid word and I'm a bit ashamed I used it! ;) Congrats on your first anniversary -- blogging is hard work so lasting is an achievement! Do be proud! I've never read Taming -- but it's on the someday TBR...

@Red: Thank you! The transition from CA to MA has been rough. It's hard to be me. Very cool that you too are reading some Shakespeare. I'm clearly missing something... :)

@Heather: Thank you -- I so appreciate that! Weirdly enough, Graveminder and Middlemarch seem like they could be a good fit, actually... Can't wait to hear what you think of both!

@Alex: Thank you so much -- I could use a drink now, actually! ;)
